I am thrilled to announce the details of my upcoming retreat next spring, on Bowen Island, just twenty minutes away from Vancouver, BC.

Over the weekend, you'll experience movement and mindfulness practices designed to help you root into the transitional season of spring. Spring holds a balance of yang and yin, and our time together will mirror that — active movement paired with deep rest, nourishing meals, and plenty of time in nature, surrounded by a wonderful community of like-minded people.

ABOUT NECTAR

Nectar Yoga Retreat is a healing sanctuary set on 20 acres of forested land on Bowen Island, just a short 20-minute ferry ride from Vancouver, BC. Nectar acknowledges and honors that Nexwlélexwm (Bowen Island) lies within the ancestral and unceded territory of the Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish) Nation.

Rooted in the stewardship of the land, Nectar Yoga Retreat is dedicated to caring for and understanding its forests and waterways. Guided by this foundation, the retreat welcomes travelers, leaders, and brands from Metro Vancouver and around the world, offering overnight stays, retreat experiences, and transformative programs. By creating space for guests to slow down, Nectar Yoga Retreat nurtures a deeper connection to the natural world.

Its modern, Scandinavian-inspired cottages provide a serene refuge for rest and renewal amid the alder trees and rich Pacific Northwest flora and fauna.

WHAT’S INCLUDED

• 2 nights accommodation at Nectar.

• Movement and mindfulness sessions guided by Xochilt.

• All meals included.

• Mist Thermal Sanctuary—a 90-minute hot-cold contrast circuit that offers private sauna and cold plunge units nestled in the heart of the forest.

• Free to relax and explore the land.

NOT INCLUDED

• Transportation to and from Nectar.

• Any retreat enrichments offered by Nectar (i.e. massage, reiki, etc.).

• Gratuity for retreat staff ($15-$20 a day/guest).

GETTING THERE

• Nectar Yoga Retreat is located at 720 Gardner Lane on Bowen Island, just a short 20 minute ferry ride from Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal.

• Driving a car is easiest, however there is a public bus that has a limited schedule on weekends. Hitchhiking is also common and easy on Bowen. Visit the FAQ page on the Nectar website for more information.

FOOD

• Meals are nourishing plant-based meals inspired by Ayurveda.

• All meals are vegan-adaptable, gluten-free adaptable, and peanut-free.

• Nectar can accommodate allergies; however, it does not cater to highly specific diets such as smoothies-only, sugar-free, keto, or low/no-carb plans.

• Nectar operates a fish- and meat-free kitchen. While every effort is made to avoid cross-contamination, the kitchen is not certified gluten-free or nut-free.

• You may bring your own alcohol for consumption.

• You may bring your own snacks as there is a small shared refrigerator & communal kitchen for storage.

REGISTRATION DETAILS

• A $250 non-refundable deposit holds your spot.

• Accepted payment: Venmo, Zelle, or Credit Card. (Venmo: @Xochilt-Hoover, Zelle: xhoover@gmail.com).

• NOTE: A 3% processing fee will be added to credit card payments.

• Final payment is due March 1, 2027.

• To register: complete the form below, then send me a deposit as soon as you can to save your spot! All reservations are first come, first serve! If you want to pay using a credit card, just email me and I’ll send an invoice.

REFUND POLICY

• Due to the intimate size of the retreat and the advance commitments required to host each guest, all payments are non-refundable, including the $250 deposit.

• Your registration holds one of a limited number of spaces, and I begin preparing well in advance to ensure your experience is meaningful and restorative.

• If you are unable to attend, your reservation is fully transferable — you’re welcome to send another person in your place. Simply notify me by email and I will update the guest details.
